Human beings thrive on hope and faith. A life without these is half death. Change is the only thing that is constant. Humanity is connected with “Human-Unity, Service, Equality and Protection” (Philosophy of Humanity). Our Culture, Spirituality, Philosophies, and Tradition speak volumes about love and affection for all humanity. Truth and love are unconditionally pervaded and thus are boundless.

True love is boundless like the ocean and rising and swelling within one spreads itself out and crossing all boundaries and frontiers envelops the whole world …….

Gandhiji’ stated that it is beyond his comprehension, that disrespecting fellow beings, how a human can be proud, is beyond his comprehension, is so true. Love for fellow beings is an ornament of life, a practical way of unity and humaneness, leading to human union. The concept of ‘YOU’, ‘ME’, and ‘I’ is to be theoretically, logically and practically understood and contextualized in the real spirit of ‘Tatvamasi’ (You are that — Vedanta Sanatana Dharma says that the self is wholly or partially identifiable with the Supreme Reality) and ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ (I am God or the creator and the creation is not different but one — Advaita Philosophy).

One thing I revel about Kerala is the attitude to celebrations of different faith and the hope of goodness in all. Nature is at its best in Kerala, and is in sync with the name ‘God’s own Country. One cannot resist the urge to dance to the tunes and hymn to the beats of celebrations of a different faith. This weekend, while I was traveling, in spite of the hardships of some roads in Kerala, which is a man-made misery. I could see on the way, that all the churches, mosques, and temples had preparations in the early morning. People throng the places of faith with the hope of better tomorrow. The early morning air is filled with sunshine, fresh air, and divinity of hope and faith. For celebrations of Christmas, every household will be lit with glittering stars hung out, telling us, “folks it’s Christmas time again, let’s merry, I will spread the light”.

Let us hope in faith, pray, and be resolute that the change will be for the good, for all mankind…. let there be no more vulnerable victims, and let us not wake up to horrifying news about rapes and cruelty to girls, political vandalism, and calamities
